We have read several picture books this year. What do you think makes picture books so great? What is it about them that keeps people reading them? Please share what you like about picture books or share the title of an especially good picture book that everyone should read. Thanks!

A New Year

I'm so glad the new school year has started. We have so many cool things to explore and learn. We also have a lot of new books!

I am planning to continue to read lots of books this year. I am also going to try to keep this quote in mind:

Begin, be
bold, and
venture to
be wise.
  ~ Horace

I found that quote in the new book 365 Days of Wonder: Mr. Browne's Book of Precepts by R.J. Palacio, the author of Wonder.

What are your plans or goals for the year?
